Founded by PGA golfer J.J. Henry, Henry House Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to generate public awareness and to support community-based programs that focus on the healthcare and well-being of children in the community. The foundation makes donations to fund specific, tangible projects initiated by children’s medical and support services and organizations in Fort Worth and Southern New England. "I’ve been fortunate to have experienced great success in my career,” said J.J. Henry. “Now, through Henry House, my family and I are able to give back to the communities we call home." "I’m excited to be representing the U.S. as a Ryder Cup team player,” Henry said. “Plus, I’m honored that the Henry House Foundation and TCU will each receive $100,000 from the PGA in recognition of my participation."
Purple Out for a Cause At The Colonial ![]() Colonial Kids for a Cause Teaming up with JJ Henry & The Henry House Foundation The "LemonAid" stand was originally a Marlow family endeavor that started 10 years ago. With a home close to the course, their children starting selling lemonade to tournament-goers during the hot Texas days. As their children got older, they graciously invited friends to join them, and of course, shared the proceeds. Three years ago, the children, with their parent's encouragement, decided to donate their proceeds to charity, thus the name "LemonAid" was born! Eight neighborhood families are now involved in this initiative that teaches kids that no matter how young, you can always give back. The stand caught the eye of PGA Tour Players in town to play the tournament, when JJ Henry started stopping by for a cold glass and staying for hours after a round. This kick started an idea to incorporate this favorite local pro that was presented as the families gather the children to discuss what charitable initiative the "LemonAid" stand will fund each year. The kids voted to support JJ Henry in his platform at Cook Children's Hospital! "JJ is an excellent role model for the children. He is kind, gracious, humble and giving of his time. He has a true love for Fort Worth and TCU. We truly adore him," said Michelle Marlow. Choosing to raise funds for JJ's Henry House Foundation was the perfect outlet to do all of these things. This year the kids dreamed up the inaugural "Purple out for JJ" on Friday of the Crowne Plaza Invitational. The "Colonial Kids" will be selling t-shirts for all of JJ's fans to wear that day, with the proceeds going to support Henry House and will be selling purple "LemonAid" and cookies. We would love for people who attend the tournament, live in the neighborhood or just want to support young charitable 'entrepreneurs' to purchase a t-shirt and stop by on Friday for some treats! Please find the kid-created t-shirt order form attached and we look forward to seeing everyone in his or her purple on Friday May 25! The Hangout Room, a personal dream and concept seen through by JJ himself, will be where The First Tee kids can go to just be kids, and take ownership over this beautiful new building and of course the program. Complete with three televisions, Xbox Kinnect stations, a homework and game bench and nook, Golden Tee arcade games and fun seating, the Henry House Hangout is a proud moment for the Foundation to give back, tangibly, the these wonderful youth of Fort Worth. The weekend ceremonies included visits and speeches by JJ Henry, LPGA Tour player Angela Stanford, numerous First Tee Fort Worth participants, and The First Tee's national president Joe Louis Barrow. It was a memorable weekend and a ribbon cutting ceremony that will forever be a banner moment for The Henry House Foundation. Thanks to our wonderful supporters for allowing us to continue this important and very special work in the community.

When Jewel Charity offered to bring The Henry House on board for 2011 through their Charity Classic golf tournament, both groups soon realized we had a homerun partnership to maximize funds for the kids.” JJ Henry proudly committed the $300,000 to execute a Henry House Teen Room designed by long-term patients.
